Project Life: Seven

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! I decided to switch up my page protector layout for this spread and I'm not gonna lie, I love the way it turned out. The left is a Simple Stories page protector and the right is one from October Afternoon (love, love, love these and I need more ASAP!). I used one that has four 3x3 square pockets and one 2x6 pocket. I've also been trying to use more of my Studio Calico Project Life kits. The #iloveyou card was a 4x6 that I cut down to 2x6. The ampersand card is also from Studio Calico, it was a 4x6 card that I cut down the middle to make into a 3x4 card.

The bottom right 3x3 square is a piece of scrap paper from my brush script practicing. Don't throw your scraps out, people! They totally come in handy down the road!

I have to say, I didn't think I would like this configuration of pockets but I'm so happy with how it turned out. It also was nice to mix page protectors and not just have four 3x4 pockets. I printed the photos from my iPhone to my Epson printer using PicFrame to put two 3x3 squares onto a 4x6. I used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher to staple the top photos in place, just so they wouldn't come out of the top.

  1. Love, love it. I never mix page protectors because... I don't really like "planning", and if it's all the same size it's kinda easier, just print 3x4 and mix in some cards. But this looks so nice, I may have to try :) Thanks for the inspiration, as always.

  2. Love it! Found your blog on Pinterest. I had done four years of 12x12 Project Life and this year I've gone to the smaller Simple Stories binder and am just filling it as I go rather than doing weekly spread. I am enjoying it so much this time. I'm married with kids but I have found that even only a few weeks in, this smaller format is much more personal. It's a little book of my life and I am loving that.

  4. I saw the brush script class being run at SC... but I'm doing Ali Edwards OLW class and I have a goal this year of not going overly crazy with spending... so I didn't sign up for it... but I want to start getting into brush script

  5. What frame did you use to make the 3x3 in picframe?
