Welcome!

I'm so excited to finally be able to launch the Single Girl's Scrapbook! The idea came to me after the 2014 Becky Higgins' Project Life Creative Team was announced in December. While their team is filled with talented women, I was sad to see there weren't any single women represented. I love seeing people include their kids in their scrapbooking but for someone like myself who does not have any kids and who is (no where near) being married I find it hard to find a lot of inspiration.

Another reason why I wanted to start this blog is because I want people to see how simple scrapbooking can be. I don't have a fancy camera, I don't have Photoshop... I don't even have a computer! You truly don't need high tech gadgets. With Project Life especially, you just need an album, page protectors and your photos.

I hope you guys have fun poking around the blog! My blogging skills aren't the best, so please be patient if you find something broken. I don't have any proper equipment, my photos are taken with my iPhone 5 and I'll most likely be blogging from my iPad. I will try to add a couple posts each week!

If you'd like to be apart of the Single Girl's Scrapbooking "world", I would love for you to start tagging your photos on Instagram with #singlegirlSB - this way together we'll be able to share our projects and inspire other people to start scrapbooking!

If you have any question, feel free to email me at hello.tracyxo (at) gmail (dot) com

  3. Great concept, as a young person with no kids, it's refreshing to see more variety in PL for inspiration!

  4. Lovely idea! Are you open to including unmarried ladies in relationships, who have that more "career and travel" lifestyle? I sometimes find it hard to relate to the average PL'er because of this, and I definitely count you among my inspirations!

    1. Thank you! And yes! I'd love to include people in relationships as well. Even married women with no kids! It's kind of hard to explain because I really don't want to exclude anyone. For right now I'm going to be posting my own layouts, but in the near future I'd love to have posts from other people.

    2. Would love to be included. Married with no kids. Been doing PL for the last 3 years. Like you, I also have a normal/regular life but lots of fun because of our 3 dogs.

  6. I am a mom of 6 (3 bio children and 3 stepchildren) with one 16 year old living at home. We have my 17 yo and 9 yo stepsons every other weekend. I also have 3 cats and one dog. My 16 yo son and my 17 yo stepson hate having their pictures taken. The 9 yo is a willing subject but only here 4 days a month. Our 3 other children live away from home and have their own lives. I was beginning to feel like I was going to have a project life album full of my pets! I am so glad to see you blog with ideas to scrap or incorporate in to a pocket pages album. Thanks for realizing there is a niche in scrapbooking for those who don't have a houseful of kids!

  7. Congrats on starting your blog, Tracy! It looks great! I'm married, two stepkids, and have no plans for kids of my own. I scrapbook for me, and scrapbook my life often without inclusion of them because while it's important I document their life and our family, it's also important that I document my own. Good job girl, I love it! My inner single girl is smiling.

  8. Welcome to the blogging world Tracy! Ive been scrapbooking since 2004(?) and I agree single/childless/young/&etc... women are not represented. Sure, theres Kelly Purkey and Kristi Prokopiak who are single, young and amazingly talented, but it is still not enough. It would bummed me out when I couldnt related to any of the layouts in CK magazine or on the blogs.

My friend and I tossed around ideas years ago to start a single girl sb blog, but life got in the way and we never did. Although, Im married now... I still dont fit the scrapbooker "mold". Point of my ramble is... Im thrilled someone is finally taking on that audience. I look forward to reading your posts and watching your blog grow! Xo.

  10. Hi Tracy - found your blog through IG. This is such a great concept. I am actually married but no kiddos with no plans for kiddos so love seeing PL pages about other things :)

  11. Hi Tracy! I'm so glad you started a blog. I love seeing your layouts on Instagram and in the SC gallery. I felt the same way when I saw the 2014 Creative Team - lots of great talent, but no one I could relate to since they were all married/have kids. I'm in a relationship, but our "kid" is our pup, so most of my PL layouts feature our dog. I was so excited when I first saw your PL pages and the fact that you feature your pup too! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us with this new blog. :)

  12. Congrats on the blog! I'm married with no kids, and have a hard time finding PL inspiration without kids as well. I really liked the Creative Team's Heather Burris though, also married with no kids. Check her out, I think you'll like her style! Since this is my 3rd year doing PL, I really want to dig in and try to describe personalities and who we really are rather than the daily routines. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve with the blog! {Find me on instagram: happystarlove}

  14. Congrats on starting the blog! It looks really great! Excited to learn more and be inspired by your great scrapping! I am married, but with no kids. We like to go on super awesome adventures. But those don't happen every day. So I don't always have tons of fantastic photos for normal weeks, so daily documenting is definitely a habit Ive been working on after completing a full year last year of PL! We have no kids, no pets. So I definitely stretch the limits of things to photograph and stuff to add in our book, but I like the challenge and Im excited to peek into your book for more inspiration of stuff to include! Cant wait to see more!

And I may not be single, but I don't have kids, and don't really planning on getting married, we live in a tiny studio and just be happy with friends and exploring the world. 18. Hi Tracy! I saw your blog mentioned at SC and had to take a peek. Your work is gorgeous! I'm not young nor am I single but when I was younger and single it would have been awesome to document my single life, especially to look back on now and to show my husband and kiddos. You go girl! ~ Debra aka dptuffy

  19. Hi Tracy! Congrats on starting the blog! It looks really great! You are right, it's difficult to find projects life without kids to get some inspiration. I'm a single girl, I don't have kids (I have only one nephew) and I'm doing PL since 2012. Regards from Spain ♥ and thank you for sharing your pages!

  20. Hi Tracy! I am so happy about the fact that you own a blog now! I always adored your PL spreads on Instagram and on the SC website.
For me it is also hard to find real inspiration on spreads that feature kids all over again. I love kids and hope to have kids in the future but for now: I am a university student turning 25 in May and I live with my boyfriend. So I am always looking for PLer who don't have kids. When I discovered your instagram account I was so happy and now you have a blog! Yeah! However, what I am trying to say: Congrat on your blog! I will subscribe to it :-)

  23. Hi Tracy, thank you for doing this. It's awesome and just what was missing from Project Life scala. The blog is lovely. I am also a single girl, got in contact with Project Life a few months ago and I am enthusiastic. I made now 2 albums, one vacay and a friends album.
