The majority of this spread documented my little day trip with my mom down to the States, I can never just include one or two photos of an "event". I. Just. Can't. Which is probably why I've almost filled up an entire Handbook in just two months - oops.
Some layouts just nicely fall into place, ever notice that? The colours all flow and what you want the layout to look like, actually ends up looking that way. That's exactly what happened with this one. My only hurdle was that I wanted my 4x6 picture at the top right of the page not the bottom right. How did I fix that you might ask? Well, I had an "ah-ha!" moment and I flipped the page protector upside down. So yes, the opening was at the bottom but it's nothing a little tiny staple can't fix. Most definitely will be using this little trick again in the future.
I loved the quote from Nate Berkus gold scissors package so I cut it down to fit into a 3x4 pocket and I backed it with a cut down file folder. Seriously, I will scrap anything. Nate released these gold and silver foil file folders and I bought them with the sole intention of cutting them down and using them in my scrapbooking. To the right of the photo I used a journal card from the Amy Tangerine Plus One mini Project Life (digital) kit and paired it with a free printable from Ann Marie Loves using Photoshop. It's a great little journal card that actually gets me to journal.
