Project Life: August One

I'm so glad it's August. You want to know why? I hate summer. I haaaaate summer. Hate it. I don't do well when it's hot and I get really angry and cranky. I hate sitting and just sweating. It grosses me out. The only thing I like is that there is more daylight. I'm a spring/fall kind of gal. Warm enough that I don't need a coat but cool enough that I can just wear a sweater. And I'm the type of person who actually enjoys the rain. But I digress..

It's the start of a new month which means another calendar! I'm so much happier now that I switched from the Rifle Paper Co ones to the Jasmine Dowling ones. This month I printed it on this awesome Ashley Goldberg paper from the Penny Arcade scrapbooking kit by Studio Calico. I cut the paper to 8.5x11 and ran it through my printer. Super simple. The bottom right card is so slanted, I had no idea haha. I'm gonna have to go back and fix that because it drives me crazy. The kraft and gold foil card is from Michaels and says "I'm thinking about you all the time".

And in more exciting news, I'm thrilled to be contributing to Studio Calico's September class, 30 Days of Me. Maggie Holmes is teaching and it's going to be so great! While supplies last, you can get a free class kit when you sign up. I hope to see some of you guys in the class!

  3. nice layout! I'm a single gal doing PL, so I keep an eye out for your layouts in my feed :) I was wondering if you could tell me what brand the gold and kraft card is from? I want to run out to my local Michaels to get one for myself!

  4. Your pages are always gorgeous! I'm not a summer girl either, but I don't hate it. I mainly like the long daylight hours, but not the heat or humidity. Oh and you may have just convinced me to sign up for the class, lol.

  5. So happy to know that I'm not the only person who hates summer, and for all the reason you do too! Ugh, sweat. Love the spread!
