My cousin got married at the start of August, it was so exciting as I've never been to a wedding before! It was beautiful and loving and I couldn't wait to scrapbook it - no joke. My original thought was to have everything be in 2x2s but I ended up not taking as many photos as I had planned so the 2x2s wouldn't have worked. The gold star vellum by Studio Calico is going to have a little bit of text, I just haven't figured that bit out yet. Probably will have the date and a couple sentences about the day.
The "magic is something you make" text is by Elise Blaha Cripe. Last year I printed it out onto a transparency and held onto it for something special. I'm so glad I did because it fits this so perfectly. And when you look at it in person, it has sort of a dimensional look to it.
I ended up using two Project Life brand 5x7 page protectors as inserts, which really worked out nicely. I didn't want to add a lot of text to this because I wanted to focus on the photos. The paper crane decorations were amazing. My cousin's wife made all of them by hand. We arrived early and I was able to snap a picture of it up close. So stunning.
|Shout-out to my family for humouring me and taking a family portrait before we left.|
For the backside I used a Photoshop to fit two photos onto one 5x7. The "well, hello there" card is from the new Heidi Swapp Project Life collaboration. It's a vertical 4x6 card that I cut down to fit into a 3x4 pocket. In my opinion, they really dropped the ball with these cards. So many of them are vertical 4x6 or horizontal 3x4, the most popular sizes are horizontal 4x6 and vertical 3x4. They seem to really be pushing the other page protectors, but for me, I'll gladly just cut them down to fit what I need.
