My favourite kind of layouts are the ones that just kind of fall together. They start as one idea and it morphs into something totally different and not at all what I had planned. I had just gotten my box from Studio Calico of their amazing Brighton Pier line, I knew I was going to end up using something from that. The paper I ended up using is called Banana Stand and it's probably in my top ten of favourite papers to date.
The coffee insert just kind of happened. I had all these photos from the week (yes, I go to Starbucks that often) and it all started because one girl spelled my name Trisy. Yes, Trisy! I thought it would be kind of funny to just take pictures of my cups and all the way my name gets spelled. They usually spell it Tracey, but really, who cares, I'm there for the coffee not the spelling. I took a 6x8 page protector and cut it down to be just a bit wider than 3 inches. I used some gold thread and hand stitched it closed.
For the backside of the insert I used more of the Banana Stand paper. I don't know about you, but this paper totally reminds me of Kate Spade and since I'm all about KSNY I had to get several sheets of this paper. The "currently" card is from a past Studio Calico monthly Project Life kit. And that's a wrap on July!
