Project Life: October One

One thing that I love about 6x8, and that I will miss next year when I change up sizes and move to 9x12 is that I can have one spread dedicated to one event - just a couple hours even - and totally not feel guilty that I used a whole page.

This spread is a perfect example of that. The left side is a calendar by Jasmine Dowling (yes, the one that seems the entire scrapbooking world is using) but each month I've been printing it on different pieces of patterned paper. This month, I used paper from Studio Calico's South of Market release. It's pink and it features Nicole Reaves' amazing handwriting so yup, I love it!

I also used an old journal card from the Studio Calico monthly PL kit, Antiquary. I used a filler card from another past SC kit, Bluegrass Farms and I cut a triangle from one of my favourite pieces of vellum, the gold punchinella vellum from SC's release Lemon Lush. I just thought it was a good way to add a bit of sparkle (cause y'all know how much I love gold). The wood veneer banner with the geotag is from the Camelot monthly kit, I used gold thread and hand stitched it onto the filler card.

  1. This spread is really beautiful! The calendar page is so great! Love it!
