Project Life: October Five

I've been on a major macaron kick lately, these little cookies are expensive but delicious. Obviously, these pretties deserved a full 6x8 photo - I mean, just look at how pretty they are!  I hand wrote around the plate to give the photo a little something extra and added the bakery's cute little business card.

For the right side, I took one of the cards from the Poet's Society Project Life kit by Studio Calico, and covered up the green strip with gold triangle vellum because gold > green in my books. I added "everyday" on top of the vellum with the white rub-ons that came with an old monthly kit, Camelot, because by adding the vellum, I covered up the first part of the quote. For the bottom left pocket, I used a piece of left over vellum from this Chic Tags project and added a white transparency to give it a bit more of a pattern. On top of that, I added a wood veneer T - found at Michaels a while ago - because.. why not!

For the bottom right card, this was all done with Photoshop. "say yes to" is from last month's Studio Calico digital release and then I just typed up some words around the picture of things I did to do/say yes to. I'm digging the "lighter" feel to this spread, I'm not used to have a lot of photos with white space!

  1. Macaroons are the best, and I love the look of this spread.

  2. I really love the design of this one! Black and white and gold always look so beautiful together.
