Project Life: October Seven

A little bit about the left side, The top card is cut down from a 12x12 piece of Studio Calico paper, the gold "merci" was cut from a Becky Higgins card, I know it doesn't really make sense being that it means "thank you/thanks" but I had the card laying around, it was gold, so I used it! The journal card is again by Studio Calico, but I added the "hello awesome" sticker to it, because I was talking about how I went to We Day and Jennifer Lopez closed the show! Hello! Awesome!

So, I love Taylor Swift. Love love love her. I think we have the same type of weirdness, we'd be the best of friends. Every two years she releases a new album (it's a horrible two year wait, I swear). I found a great Taylor Swift fan site that had tons of high quality pictures, so I saved a picture of the front of her new album and the back and by using Photoshop I sized them down to 4x4 and put them into a We R Memory Keepers 4x4 page protector

Taylor is the queen of marketing - or she has a really great team behind her - because her album releases are so. much. fun. For 1989 she ran with the polariod theme, which I'm totally okay with because I love them. Within each physical copy of the cd, she included a set of 13 "polaroids" with her hand written lyrics along the bottom. There are five sets, 65 "polariods" in all which means the crazy teens who love her will go out and buy multiple copies of her cds in hopes of collecting all of the pictures. Genius. I only bought one copy I might add. But being the scrapbooker that I am, I wanted to include as much about her new cd as possible.

I used two Simple Stories 2x2 pages and printed two 32 of the polariods sized down to 2x2. Another thing I love about her albums is that she includes secret messages within the lyrics of each song in the liner notes. Using my typewriter, I typed out each message on a plain piece of white cardstock.  The end of the spread has cards from Studio Calico and Becky Higgins ("favorite"). I also hand wrote lyrics with a white paint pen onto vellum, just to tone down the black and yellow 10 card.

  1. I also love Taylor Swift. She's so amazing! I love this layout. It's such a fun way to capture the excitement of the new album. I love that you document little details like this. Years from now, it will be so fun to look back at all the things that happened. Thanks for inspiring me to start documenting more of my life!
